Solution:
A photovoltaic project for a railway section in Tianjin has successfully established a “green power station” on the idle rooftops of existing buildings and newly constructed carports along an operational railway line. The project overcame several technical challenges such as public utility operational requirements, structural safety requirements, and complex grid integration. Approximately 8,000 photovoltaic panels were efficiently installed, covering a total area of about 24,000 square meters. The facilities can supply the customer with over 5 million kWh of clean electricity every year, equivalent to a reduction of more than 4,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, while also lowering electricity costs. This initiative stands as a benchmark example to create environmental and economic benefits from idle spaces.
